Brian was born and raised in northern New Jersey and grew up with his parents and two younger brothers.  He attended college at The University of Scranton.  After graduating, he spent time as a full-time volunteer working as a resident counselor for Boys Hope of Illinois, a residential program for at-risk children in Chicago.  Then he worked as a teacher at a Catholic High School in the Chicago’s south side.  These years changed him forever, but he realized that his dream was to become a doctor, so he decided to go back to school and received his MD degree from Temple University School of Medicine. In 2001, he moved to Lancaster for residency at Lancaster General Hospital and has been here ever since. He is a family medicine physician at LG Health Physicians Family Medicine Abbeyville and has been in practice there since 2004. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Christie, and three wonderful children as well as rooting for the New York Giants. He is very honored to serve on the board of Mom’s House.  As a family physician, he has seen the stresses that single mothers experience and how it affects their health as well as the health of their children.  He has seen firsthand how poverty and broken homes can lower the trajectory of a child’s future, and believes we need to find ways to change this.  Mom’s House provides a lifeline, a way for single mothers and their families to climb out of poverty and to be successful contributors to our community which is why he is thrilled to be a part of this organization.
