MOM’S HOUSE OF LANCASTER WELCOMES STEPHANIE THOMAS TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
LANCASTER, PA, February 20, 2019— Stephanie Thomas accepted a position on the board of directors for Mom’s House of Lancaster. This addition gives the nonprofit eight board members.
Thomas is currently the Secretary to Homeless Student Project & Parent Involvement for Lancaster School District where she has 16 years of experience. As a social-justice advocate, she writes for and performs at various events throughout Lancaster, Chester, and Berks County with the aspiration of impacting lives on a global measure. Thomas also serves as Advisor/Creative Impact Strategist of Speak To My Soul.

About Mom’s House: Mom’s House believes that all parents have the right to resources to raise their children in conditions of dignity and financial independence and is the only organization in Lancaster County that provides free child care services to low-income single mothers (and fathers) enrolled in school full-time. The goal of Mom’s House is to empower these single parents to break out of the cycle of poverty and raise their families in financial independence. It’s nonresidential hand-up-not-hand-out program provides at-risk single parents with the right tools to become better parents, professionals and community members and simultaneously start their children on a successful educational journey.
